Sun

There is a time
light is not far
from dark;
I watch you
an object,
a particular,
rise in the sky
once more.

Your vision is
whatever it is.
I see you shine.

I orbit you
Elliptically—
yellow place.
rubber band.
yellow space.

My soul is quiet,
like a white rabbit’s
pink eyes,
or a kindly alien—

Until the end,
nothing, nothing
at all.
